Cookie and Storage Notice
This notice explains cookies and similar storage across I Do HQ.
1. About this notice
I Do HQ is operated by Ninjaneers Pty Ltd, ABN 68 697 870 643, ACN 697 870 643 (we, us, our). This notice explains cookies and similar storage for https://idohq.app, https://my.idohq.app, our guest pages and mobile apps. It also covers vendor accounts when they are available.
2. Cookies, memory and local storage
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Local storage holds information on your device between visits until the app or you remove it. Memory is temporary storage used while a page or app is running. These are different ways to keep sign-in state and preferences.
3. What we use
| Function | Storage and purpose |
|---|---|
| Web app sign-in | Sign-in tokens are kept in memory, not saved to browser storage. You may need to sign in again after a reload. |
| Hosted sign-in page | The authentication provider's hosted page may set its own session cookie to support sign-in. This is separate from the web app's token storage. |
| Bot checks | The anti-abuse bot-check provider used at sign-in or public forms may set or read storage to help distinguish people from automated traffic. |
| Preferences | Local storage remembers your theme preference and selected wedding. |
| Terms acceptance | Local storage holds a pending terms-version note so acceptance can be sent after sign-in. |
| Pending wedding invitation | Local storage can hold a wedding membership invitation while you sign in, so the app can complete acceptance afterwards. This is separate from your sign-in token. |
| Usage analytics | We use PostHog, hosted in the United States, to count visits and button clicks on this website, and to see which steps people use in the app. On this website it runs without cookies or local storage: nothing is saved on your device, and we do not record your name, email address or what you type. If you opt out, your choice is remembered in local storage as a single setting. In the app, analytics use your account ID only after you sign in. |
| Native app sign-in | Native apps use your device's secure credential storage for sign-in credentials. Preferences and pending app actions may also be kept in local app storage. |
This notice describes storage used for sign-in, security, preferences and pending app actions, and the usage analytics described below.
4. Your choices
You can turn usage analytics off at any time using the control at the bottom of this page (or in the app's settings). We also treat your browser's Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out. You can block or delete cookies and clear local storage in your browser settings. This may reset your theme or selected wedding, interrupt a pending invitation or sign-in, or prevent some features from working. Browser controls apply separately to each browser and device.
You can sign out of the app and use your device settings to manage app storage and notification permissions. Clearing browser or app storage does not delete your account or the information held by the Service. See our Privacy Policy for account deletion and data requests.
5. Providers and personal information
We aim to use an Australian region for our authentication provider, but providers may store or process information outside Australia, including for support and logs. Our anti-abuse bot-check provider and our analytics provider (PostHog, which stores data in the United States) may also process information outside Australia. The Privacy Policy explains the information providers receive, overseas handling and how to contact us about your information.
6. Changes and contact
We will update this notice when our storage practices change and show the new version and last updated date. We will notify you of material changes by email or in the app.
For questions, privacy requests or complaints, email hello@idohq.app. You can also write to Ninjaneers Pty Ltd. Postal address: PO Box 502, Caloundra QLD 4551, Australia.
